About the Role

Job Title Status: Position working varied relief shifts not to exceed 28 hours weekly Hourly rate: $23.00 ***NOTE: This

position is posted year-round and filled as needed. The ideal candidate deals tactfully and courteously with the public

and city employees. Works rotating shifts, including weekends. Monitors telephones and radio in the dispatch center,

answers all incoming calls and ascertains nature of call, gathers all necessary information to transmit or relay.

Dispatches police and other response vehicles for emergencies; broadcasts nature, location and time of incident;

contacts all required personnel and other local concerns such as the fire department in the event of an emergency
