About the Role

Overview The Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs a variety of repairs and services to maintain heavy equipment. The role

requires understanding intermediate heavy equipment maintenance, operating and inspecting machinery, dismantling and

reassembling equipment, and ensuring operational efficiency in accordance with technical manuals and Army regulations.

Responsibilities Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects. Dismantle and reassemble equipment using

technical manuals, lifting devices, hand and pneumatic tools. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear with

micrometers and gauges. Replace defective engines, subassemblies such as transmissions, and test overhauled equipment.
