About the Role

The safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical plant and equipment onboard. Administration of the

planned maintenance system of the electrical plant. Carrying out regular inspections of all electrical power management

systems, switchgear, motors, batteries etc. to conform to standards of operation and maintenance. Ensuring that the

Chief Engineer and Engineers are kept fully informed of all electrical activities and developments and that no major

repair or maintenance to the electrical plant is carried out without the approval of the Chief Engineer and Engineer on

Watch. Ensuring electrical plant is managed to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability. Exercising control over
