Bus Driver

About the Role

School Bus Driver First and foremost duty shall be the safe transportation of pupils from their homes to and from

school. In carrying out this duty, every driver shall endeavor to gain and maintain the respect of each child. Drivers

shall be responsible to the Superintendent of Schools through their Supervisor. Performance responsibilities include:

Check daily the condition of the bus including brakes, steering gear, lights, signaling devices, emergency doors and

tires. Have all defects corrected. Keep the bus clean both inside and out, especially the lettering and signals. The

driver is responsible to keep his/her bus at the proper fuel level. Driver must be able to secure discipline for purpose
